25 years ago I decided the mortgage business was my passion and have been a Loan Processor for at least 20 or more of those years
I started my career with Element Funding a little over 5 years ago. I have been processing for Deann Ellis during most of my years with Element Funding.
I am married and met my husband in 6th grade, we have one daughter who is now 25 years old and lives in Virginia .
Working here at Element Funding with Deann and her team have been the most enjoyable years of my mortgage career and I really enjoy helping families thru the mortgage process.
Exceeding expectations is standard operating procedure for DeAnn Ellis. "Our knowledge, persistence and customer service are exceptional,” she says. “Everyone on my team has an extraordinary mortgage background. We care about our clients. We close on time. We’re determined. The team far exceeds everybody’s expectations.” As the single mother of two teenage girls, DeAnn teaches them to exceed expectations too. “I want my kids to see that if you apply yourself and work hard, nothing is impossible,” she says. “It’s important to me to be a good role model, to let them see that you can be a successful professional and a great mother who is there for them every day.” DeAnn also sets an example for her children by her actions in the community. She serves on the board of Action Ministries to feed hungry children, is a member of the East Metro Board of Realtors where she serves on various committees, and belongs to the Young Professionals Network and Chamber of Commerce. DeAnn will continue helping as many families as she can to attain homeownership by reaching out and educating people. Being top producers, DeAnn and her team are continuing to far exceed expectations, one closing at a time.
Ashley Campbell started her career in the banking industry in 1999, shortly after graduating high school. She gained employment at First Newton Bank in Covington, Ga. where she fulfilled the roles of a teller/ personal banker and later consumer lending. She immediately loved the hometown feel of the bank, establishing relationships with customers, and assisting them with their banking needs.
Several years passed an opportunities arose to expand her career into the Mortgage Industry. She gained employment at Georgia Central Bank in Social Circle, Ga., then to further her career at Lendmark Financial / BB&T Alternative Mortgage Lending in Conyers, Ga.
Ashley has had many roles in the mortgage industry but spent most of her years as a processor. She quickly realized that being a part of helping someone achieve the American dream was her passion! Ashley joined the Deann Ellis Team in August 2015, where she strives every day to help each client meet their goals and dreams.
LOAN OFFICER ASSISTANT
After graduating in 1995 and attending several semesters at a local college I decided to dive into the banking world. In 1997, I was hired by a local credit union where I was a teller and then was promoted to Administrative Assistant to the President of the Credit Union. Working at the corporate office I was exposed to all different departments and in 2001 was transferred to the mortgage department as a Loan Officer but was only able to help our members. It was in 2002 that I decided to follow in my sister, DeAnn Ellis’, footsteps and go to work for a local bank as a Mortgage Loan Originator and build my own book of business and relationships with people in the community by working with realtors and builders. After a few months of working there, DeAnn and I sat down and decided that we ultimately had the same goals, which was to help borrows with the most important loan in their life, but with different strengths brought to the table. It has been the most fulfilling career path that I could have chosen.
Jackie has been in the mortgage industry for 16 years. Having first started as a loan processor, Jackie truly understands how important details are on a mortgage loan. She enjoys dealing with the clients one–on–one and being able to go over their financing needs and options. Originally from the Atlanta area Jackie feels it’s important to be very honest and up front with all her clients on what it takes to become a homeowner. She has experience in purchase loans, refinance, down payment assistant programs and construction to perm loans and has worked with several builders over the past few years while continuing to grow new relationships with realtors. Her enjoyment as a loan officer is being able to help achieve the ultimate goal of being a homeowner and living the American dream of homeownership.
After graduating high school I was so excited to attend Beauty College and begin a career in Cosmetology. While in beauty school, my high school sweetheart proposed to me and we have now been married for 22 years. We have two sons ages 16 and 20. Our boys have always kept us busy with sports and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
After my husband and I married, I quickly decided that I needed a job sooner rather than later so in 1993 I went to work for a local finance company. Although this was not the career path that I had chosen it soon became just that. I was responsible for generating new business, processing loan applications and originating home loans, as well as collecting payments on those loans.
I later took a job at a local bank. Banking and Finance was not something I would have ever thought I would enjoy doing but I was very wrong. I climbed the ladder pretty quickly working in the banking industry.
